My name is Nicki Woodfin.
I am an unashamed follower of Jesus the Messiah.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also to the gentile. Romans 1:16
I love Jesus with the whole of who I am. My goal in life is to lead others to experience the deep love of Christ. I am convinced that most people are confused about who Jesus really is and what it means to be a true follower of Christ. I also believe that Christians are not actively sharing their faith because of fear. Fear of being asked a question they can’t answer; fear of being rejected; fear of losing something or someone they cherish; the list is endless but it all boils down to fear and insecurity.
My prayer is that I can, through the study of God’s word, help people see who Jesus really is so they can make an informed decision on what to do about it. I also have a deep desire to help Christians grow in their faith, overcome their fears, and share their faith with boldness (without fear) as well as with humbleness and respect.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. 1 Peter 3:15
Over the years, I have served on church staff in various roles including student ministry, missions, discipleship and education. I have written most of my own messages and lessons as well as Bible study series for both students and adults. I’ve also written and directed several full length dramas and skits.
I’m active in missions and outreach both overseas and at home. I currently serve on the board for Be a Light Ministries, a mission organization in Malawi, Africa. My roles at Be a Light include organizing and planning short term trips as well as to help support our missionary Jeri Cook stateside with administration. Here at home, I serve on the board for Friends of Faith and Fellowship, a local women’s ministry that seeks to bring healing through God’s word to broken and hurting women. And finally, I am an active member of Church On The Way in Weber City, Va. where I lead the best group of ladies in Bible study every Sunday morning.
